C'mon N' Ride It
You don’t have to be getting married (or already married) to know how overwhelming and nerve-racking planning a wedding can be. Just watch Netflix’s The Wedding Coach or TLC’s I Want That Wedding, and you’ll get the picture.
Other than the wedding vows we’ll be exchanging next year, an important promise Bernie and I made to each other was to not allow ourselves be eaten up by the usual wedding planning stressors… to never forget that this is a joyous event in our lives, and we’re sharing it with the people we love, and so we will make sure that we all have a great time, no matter what.
Part of making sure that everyone gets to have a great time is to keep our guests safe throughout the wedding by having a COVID Safety Policy in place.
Next is by making sure that everyone gets home safely after all the partying (a.k.a. drinking).
And so Bernie and I are happy to share with you that we will be providing free transportation for our wedding guests after the reception.
You read that right.
There will be a 25-passenger coach that will safely transport all our guests from Lake Oak Meadows Winery to our home in Temecula for the Afterparty. The ride will be provided by Stryder Transportation and will be on standby to take guests back to their home or hotel pretty much anywhere, any time, all the way until 1:30AM.
You just need to let us know well in advance if you wish to be included in the ride list so we can give Stryder your address and they can plan ahead for the route accordingly.
This reiterates the point we made earlier in our FAQs page regarding the question, “What if I get drunk at the Afterparty?” — to which we responded that we definitely don’t want you to drink and drive… we want you to have a great time and party with us without reservation or apology. So in the (likely) event that you get drunk as a skunk, no worries! We’ve made arrangements to safely take you back to your hotel/house after the party.
“But My, what about my car?”
For those of us who will be driving our own cars to the venue, Lake Oak Meadows Winery is allowing us to leave our cars parked overnight at the property. So our passenger coach can take you back to your home or hotel after the party, and you can just take a Lyft or Uber back to Lake Oak Meadows to get your car no later than 12 PM the next day. This only makes sense, of course, if you live within or near the Temecula area. But if you live quite a distance away, do let us know so we can figure something out for you.
