Don’t Be Trippin’!

This one goes out to all the ladies!

Our wedding is seven months away but I’m already getting the most frequently-asked question that’s not COVID-19 related…

What shoe style should I wear?

Generally speaking, you should choose a pair of shoes that complements your dress. And we already addressed the question of “What to wear?” in my previous posts about the wedding dress code and the wedding colors.

But in this post, I’ll get even more specific—as in venue-specific, for the love of all our female invited guests.

You must already know by now that Bernie and I are getting married at a wine country wedding venue, and both the ceremony and reception are going to be held outdoors—hence, the Garden Formal” dress code.

But this is what’s even more important to take note of…

As you can see, the pathways at Lake Oak Meadows are made largely of flagstones and cobblestones with about an inch of gaps between them.

Lovely, isn’t it?

Yes, but definitely NOT stiletto-friendly!

So this is my recommendation when you go shopping for your shoes:

Block Heels

Block Heels

Wedge Heels

Wedge Heels

Because when we say we don’t want you to be trippin’, we mean that in the literal rather than the metaphorical sense. 😆
